Group Health Insurance is for employers and unions. Medical underwriting rules for small group health insurance differ from large group and individual health insurance policies.
The Protecting Affordable Coverage for Employees (PACE) act gives states the ability to choose a “small group employer” definition of either 2-50 employees or 2-100 employees. President Obama signed the PACE act in October 2015 and states are still deliberating.
As of June 2016, California’s small group definition is up to 100 employees, Oregon and Washington groups are up to 50.
Having comprehensive health benefits will be important for both employers and employees. Many people prefer working for a job that will provide good health benefits. Many U.S. employers offer health, dental, vision, disability, life and supplemental medical insurances for their employees.
We can give you quotes of multiple insurance companies for health, dental, vision and other insurance coverage. Please contact us if you are looking for a group health insurance.
